It made me really want t...What a fantastic article! It made me really want to learn these methods of more careful face-reading. I also think it provides a better explanation of why I find serious phone conversations so much less satisfying than face-to-face meetings. You'd think that most of the information in the conversation gets through on the phone, but in cases when you're really trying to read between the lines, the information lost in not seeing facial expressions (not just general emotional content, but facial "microexpressions" inflecting certain words) may make a large difference.
